Overview

The Lethbridge Country Club was founded in 1909 by a group of keen golfers who played on a crude golf course east of the Lethbridge city limits near the current provincial jail. In 1911, the group purchased the riverbottom land in which the Club is currently situated. In 1912, the Lethbridge Country Club became one of Alberta Golf's original five founding member clubs along with the Edmonton Golf and Country Club, Ft. MacLeod Golf Club, Calgary Golf and Country Club and the St. Andrews Club.
